Job Specification
Purpose of the Role
To support the Room Leader in delivering high-quality practice, ensuring the smooth running of the room and providing excellent care and education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support Room Leadership
- Assist in planning and leading activities aligned with EYFS.
- Step into the Room Leader role when needed.
- Support junior staff and Early Years Assistants.
2. Observations & Learning
- Complete observations and contribute to child assessments.
- Help plan next steps and contribute ideas for continuous provision.
3. Safeguarding & Daily Care
- Maintain a safe, clean, and well-organised environment.
- Follow all safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Support daily routines including meals, toileting, and sleep.
4. Teamwork & Communication
- Communicate effectively with Room Leader and wider team.
- Build positive relationships with families.
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 or 3 Early Years qualification.
- Experience working in an early years setting.
Desirable Requirements
- Confidence leading small groups or activities.
- Willingness to undertake training.
